Vanguard: THE Federal Executive Council (FEC) yesterday approved a budget proposal of N47.9 trillion for the 2025 fiscal year and borrowing of N13.8 trillion.

The Guardian: The Federal Government is considering adding a fresh liability of $2.2 billion to the existing debt overhang as part of its plans to fund an ambitious spending envelope of N47.9 trillion next year. Whereas details of the 2025 budget, which are yet to be presented remain sketchy, the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Atiku Bugudu, yesterday told journalists that the Federal Executive Council (FEC) had approved the much-awaited Medium-term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) for 2025-2027.

Daily Trust: The Federal Executive Council (FEC) yesterday approved the Medium-Term Expenditure Framework for 2025-2027 with a proposed budget of N47.9 trillion for the year 2025. This was disclosed by the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Atiku Bagudu, while briefing State House correspondents at the end of the FEC meeting presided over by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
